Cirakoglu Avci Architecture Studio is an award-winning architectural design practice based in Istanbul, Turkey. The Studio led by Alisan Cirakoglu and Ilgın Avcı is working on a wide range of scales and subjects such as cultural, educational, residential and commercial buildings and urban design. The studio was founded by Alisan Cirakoglu in 2002.

ALISAN CIRAKOGLU
Architect / Founding Partner
After graduating from Faculty of Architecture of Middle East Technical University in 1996 Alisan Cirakoglu took his master’s degree from the same faculty in 1999.
He worked at several architectural companies in Ankara and Istanbul until he established his own practice Cirakoglu Architects in 2002.
Currently he is leading the practice in Istanbul at Cirakoglu Avci Architecture Studio. He has won several prizes and honorable mentions including eight first prizes in national competitions.
In 2008 Cirakoglu was chosen the Young Architect of the year by Arkitera Architecture Center.
Together with Ilgın Avcı, he won National Architectural Prize twice in 2014 and 2018 and the Turgut Cansever Prize in 2016.
DENIZ AKYUREK
Architect
Deniz Akyurek studied Architecture at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University in Istanbul. After graduating in 2018, she began her master's degree at the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC). She completed her Master Of Advanced Architecture in 2020.
She has been working at CAA Studio since August 2022.
ILGIN AVCI
Architect / Partner
Ilgın Avcı (1985) studied Architecture at the Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul. After graduation in 2008, he started his master degree in the same University.
He started to work at Cirakoglu Architects in 2007 and became partner in 2010. He has the ability to work in different scale projects from single unit houses to University Campuses.
Avcı has participated in many architectural competition and has won several prizes including six first prizes.
Together with Alisan Çırakoğlu, he won the “National Architecture Awards ” in 2014 and the “Turgut Cansever Prize” in 2016.
In 2020 he won Europe 40 Under 40 award.
He is working as a part-time studio instructor at the Architecture Department of MEF University.
NIHAL GURSU
Architect
Nihal Gursu studied Architecture at the Trakya University in Edirne. After graduation in 2021, she attanded an Erasmus+ Internship program in Copenhagen.
She has been working at CAA Studio since November 2022.
